Childhood is the peak period for the development of creativity and imagination, and it is also the golden period for cultivating aesthetic ability and sensitivity.
In the design of children’s space, although having lots of play facilities and vibrant space can meet the basic needs of children, in an era when aesthetic education and edutainment are gradually valued, those children’s spaces with value and strong design sense are more beneficial to the growth trend of commercial space for children.
Abundant or simple, the most important issue for commercial space for children is interactive.
Children’s desire for experience is very strong. It is not a must to accommodate children and to make a small-scale space specifically for them. On the contrary, it is necessary that in a normal space, we can give children some elements and opportunities to discover and learn. In the process of playing, exploration and creation are everywhere which helps to foster more open thinking.
Karv One Design’s Blossom School is built with the basic concept of “encouraging children’s creativity, developing possibilities and personality through pleasant play and practical learning”. This is not only a paradise for children to play in, but also a large-scale enlightenment place focusing on children’s education.
The concept of the storybook is the creative inspiration of this project. Games and dream are the protagonists of the design.
The baking area is based on the “wonderful journey of the body”. “Let’s wash the vegetables” brings children to magically transform into vegetables and experience the journey from the land to the table. “Color Circus” allows children to dress like animals in their favorite colors and to print out their own stories. “Blossom School” lets children dig out more fun here. “The Shape of Music” guides children to follow the cute note elves to play fascinating music that can be seen.
Fun and playfulness are designed based on the needs of children’s play.
An interesting children’s business organization should not only have safe facilities and reasonable colors, but also be designed from the perspective of children and according to the needs of children’s play.
The playing area of Blossom School entirely recognizes children’s nature of loving games. To allow children to fully mobilize their bodies, the designer set up interactive games with ups and downs such as slides and bubble pools, while considering the body size of young children, so that they can complete the enjoyable exploration of space with healthy exercise.
The large sandbox in the space is made up of tens of thousands of building blocks, allowing children to experience in a fairy tale how their future home will be looked like.
The entire space is like a fairy-tale-like wonderful journey, letting children complete their aesthetic adventure in the play of interaction and games.
