News | Karv One Design Wins 2025 DFA Design for Asia Awards
Founded by the Hong Kong Design Centre in 2003 and led by Create Hong Kong of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government as the sponsoring body, the DFA (Design for Asia Awards) aims to recognize outstanding projects that boast exceptional design and contribute to advancing the global design landscape. Renowned across Asian societies, it is an annual global design event that serves as a platform to celebrate and showcase outstanding Asian designs on the world stage, covering a wide spectrum of fields within the design industry.
Karv One Design’s project “MUZIJI Community Culture & Art Center” has been awarded the Merit Award at the 2025 DFA Awards. The design inspiration for this project stems from an in-depth study of the living patterns in the old urban area of Changsha. It seeks to integrate the touching neighborhood memories embedded in the designs of traditional village squares and siheyuan (quadrangle courtyards). The space incorporates over 15 diverse functional areas, including coffee shops, tea houses, and youth centers, forming a vibrant cultural hub that revives the warm scenes of gatherings under the eaves in days gone by.
